Addressing them further, Dan-Ali recalled the workshop held in their institute; on Civil Military Relationship where he enumerated the successes recorded since the assumption of duty in the Ministry in which he emphasized on the need for smooth Civilian-Military Relationship, as a panacea for peace and good working relationship.

Earlier in his welcome remarks, the Air Officer Commanding Ground Training Command (AOC GTC), AVM Idi Amin, revealed that the HBDG Course, which comprised 20 NA and 20 NAF personnel, was aimed at equipping the students with the tactics, techniques and procedures for providing close air support to ground troops during battle.

As I have repeatedly said with respect to the security challenges that have attended our country’s path to greatness: “conflicts and insecurity are as old as liberty”. Conflict is unfortunately one of the inherent liabilities of freedom because with freedom or liberty comes divergence of views and conflict of interests and the resultant crisis and insecurity.

It has become expedient for the Nigerian Army to change operating tactics, techniques and procedure in the North East region. Accordingly, the Nigerian Army Day Celebration (NADCEL) 2018 will be commemorated with the conduct of an operation tagged Operation LAST HOLD in Northern Borno within the North East Theatre.
