Her full name is Block Rosary Crusade Brigade of Guard with her motto as," Prayer, Penance and Sacrifice." She started with our Lady's army by Bro. Sir. Clement Mary Opara, J.P. and Bro. Sir. Clement Mary Ndukwe in the year 1963 at our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Orile Iganmu, Catholic Archdiocese of Lagos; though the later left the catholic church. However, the two brothers were asked to join forces and create an arm which was actualize on July 13 1977 and called it Rosary Brigade Guard (RBG).

Nevertheless, according to Col. Sir. Iduma Stephen, KSJI who was committee member for the harmonization of BRCBG," Before Jos 1999 BRC 2nd" National Congress held at St. Mulumba's College, Jos, Plateau state under the leadership of Bro. Augustine Imoh (from Lagos archdiocese), different types of brigade existed in various dioceses with different uniform, origin, name and structure. After the congress, the National Council formed a committee that will draft a byelaw for the unification of the brigades in the country, and ih 2002 May conference meeting held in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, where the reports were adopted, and all dioceses were directed to change to what will now be known as Block Rosary Crusade Brigade of Guard(BRCBG) with the blue and white khaki chosen as the national uniform. The first chief National Commander, Col. Moses Osang (a soldier in the Nigerian army) from Kaduna Archdiocese was chosen/selected."

Furthermore, at the 2017 centenary congress held at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Ogbor-hill, Aba Diocese, Sir. Clement Mary Opara, J.P. was officially recognized and invested as the sole founder of BRCBG in Nigeria. Finally, her National Instructor is Col. Partrick Salami Egbuche (Lieutenant in the army) while her current National Commander is Maj. Festus Mary l. Amuzie from Sokoto diocese (Kaduna province) elected at sacred heart chaplaincy, Elele, Port Harcourt Diocese in 2018 October BRC national conference.
